This week we surveyed every student from Grade 2 to Grade 9 about the Oman Week and had nearly 90 responses. The average student rating for Oman Week was 8.7 out of 10 or 87%, which we are really happy with because our priority is the students and their experiences.
Most interesting was the written feedback in which students commented about the trips. We have also set up a survey which will be shared with parents who were involved so that we can improve all the trips and events next year and perhaps move the students’ rating above 9 out of 10. We will use some of this information, as well as our photos, for a press release, which will go out shortly, to show the sort of activities our students are involved in. One student in Grade 7 who attended the Camel Safari wrote:
“Oman week is important because it opens our eyes into how beautiful Oman is, without much of technology, based on our generation. It made us calm. It taught me skills, like how to put up a tent, how to do your business outdoors and how to make a campfire. When we came home, it made us realize how much we love our family because of how much we miss them. It makes us humble and realize that we take our house, beds, fridges, iPods, phones, etc, for granted and that we should appreciate more because we’ve tasted how it is like to be without them. Overall, it makes us a better person.”
If you were involved in supporting any of the trips/events then please click on this link and take this 2 minutes survey if you can find the time.
Thank you and we already look forward to another fun event next year!
