In Grade 3 we are learning about trade, and goods and services. To understand how money is used in trade and in an economy, our class have been earning ABIS $ by producing goods (our school work as well as some yummy food items) and some people have also started to offer services at home too. For some people watching their earnings grow has been very motivating.
Our number puzzle of the week supporting our understanding of division proved to be a good challenge. Sharing a bar of chocolate with 30 pieces is easy with 3, 5 or 6 people but how can you share the bar of chocolate with 8 or 9 people? Danah really persevered with this and look how she solved it.
