The final assessment for the current Unit of Inquiry is a materials experiment that the children will create on their own. Through this experiment they are to demonstrate their understanding of our central idea ‘Materials may react with one another to form new substance’. Ideally the children will come up with original experiments. The process of brainstorming ideas has begun. A written procedure in the form of a poster is to accompany each experiment.
