Week two is complete! The class has had a very busy week, with the start of our Unit on water. We have had many discussions about where our water comes from, how it is a finite resource and how we have a very small limited supply of fresh water. We have been talking about how there are global inequities in the access to this fresh water. We look forward to seeing where their questions lead the unit as time goes on.

in Maths we have continued to develop our understanding of geometry, and we have been working with finding perimeters as well as using the length x width formula for finding area.

in writing the students have been adding revisions to their writing topic of something they feel they are an expert on. Next week they will finish editing and publish this piece.

Next week, our Readers Workshop has the students turning to a focus on non fiction reading and understanding the skills in this area.

Have a wonderful weekend!
