Grade 6s were hard at work learning about parachutes and the factors that affect how they fall. Mr Lopez was in to talk about forces on Monday. Tuesday we designed parachutes and tested the effect of different sized parachutes on the rate it takes them to fall. On Wednesday lab partners applied their knowledge by designing an original parachute using our learning from the week. The aim of this parachute was to land on a target. Students worked through a design, build, test process. Some groups were able to get through 3 designs!

Grade 6s continue to be leaders at assemblies. This week Logan, Diego and JG lead the assembly. Tariq and Amsyar provided technical support. Natalie, Maria, Kate and Fajr volunteered for a new role of ECC helpers.
A reminder that it is a short week next week. We have classes until Tuesday, then we are off for Autumn break.
Have a wonderful weekend,
Ms. Sarah
