Hello Parents!
It has been a fantastic start to the school year in 3B. We have been fortunate to have almost the entire class here in the first week which has made for a smooth start. It has been a pleasure meeting and getting to know your children. After only a few days we are already starting to settle into routines.
Our first week focussed on everyone getting to know one another to to become reacquainted after the summer holidays. We played Math games, Read stories together and wrote stories. We had an interesting start to our current Unit of Inquiry “How We Express Ourselves”, when the students were invited to the Grand Opening of the ABIS Museum which featured an amazing work of art created by a world-renowned artist! (Please ask the kids, they may be able to give more information about this:) We also had our specialist classes start on Monday with P.E., Music, Dance and Arabic classes.
I look forward to the upcoming week with the students as we continue to dig deeper into our Unit of Inquiry. An e-mail will be sent home on Sunday to give you an overview of what we will be working on next week and what to expect in terms of homework.
