It’s not often than ten and eleven years are fixated on the news. On Wednesday they were beyond fixated with the U.S. Presidential elections. The children had their favorites and watched the proceedings intently as the results trickled in. What followed was a very interesting and lively discussion around the question “Will the outcome of the election affect us here in Sohar?”
In math we have been doing some good work on fractions, decimals and percentages, a topic that can be challenging at times. We have learnt how to convert a fraction to a decimal and versa. We have also started working on percentages and will be looking at converting them into decimals and percentages. In writing the class continued working on the explanation writing genre.
