We are speeding towards the end of the school year, so we apologise for all of the communications, letters and Newsflashes over the last few weeks. I know it’s been a bit of an ambush.
There are a lot of mixed emotions felt around the school at the moment. On one hand, we are really excited to be moving to the new building, and to welcoming new students and staff – especially this year’s Grade 6 – but on the other hand we are really sad to be losing students and teachers, as they move on to other places. We will be saying goodbye to them all in the right way, both individually and publicly in our end of year assemblies. Three dates for your diary:
1) We hope that you can all make one of the new ABIS clothes purchasing opportunities on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, as ‘Newsflashed’ this week.
2) We hope that everyone can come to the Iftar event on Monday at about 6:45pm. We think this will be fabulous and a special community moment. On that note, we are very proud of our mature fasting students this week who have been managing to study and attend school, as well as fast.
3) We hope that you can all make the Secondary last day assembly – probably the last one in the SLS – at an 11:15 prompt start. The whole schools leavers assembly will be 12:30 in the gym.
School reports, the annual report, and the fabulous new yearbook will be shared next week.
