This week the students were utilizing their math skills to plan a new classroom layout. They had to measure the classroom area, cut out a scaled diagram, then plan their design for a classroom setup. It turned out to be a big job and lots of math knowledge was needed. They divided, estimated, measured, double checked and calculated. They also had to learn how to work cooperatively as it was a group task. Sunday is the big day for their presentation! They get to choose which classroom layout is the best.
