So this week Grade 4 looked at data collection and representation. “How many times does your heat beat every day?” was their opening investigation. During the course of inquiry, students worked out how often their hearts beat in a minute – and this led to the pondering of what else can be counted in a single minute. Students came up with a list of ideas which they then tested, and for which they collected data. Next task? How ARE they going to present their data?
