It has been a busy and enjoyable final week of the term in Grade 5. Our highlight this week was, of course, Sports Day. Tuesday morning was filled with fun, teamwork, and friendly competition, with students taking part in activities such as the obstacle course, Nerf ball throwing, long jump, relay races, water cup challenges, and tug of war. A big thank you to the PE department for organising such a fantastic event, and to the students for their enthusiasm, effort, and excellent sportsmanship throughout the day.
In class, we concluded our main focus on measurement in maths. In our Unit of Inquiry, we continued to explore products, the materials they are made from, and how those materials are produced and used.

After the break, we will return to this learning by continuing our Unit of Inquiry, revisiting persuasive debate writing in literacy, and beginning work on operations in maths.
As we now head into the holiday period, we would like to wish all families who celebrate a very Merry Christmas, and for those who do not, we hope you enjoy a relaxing and enjoyable break with your loved ones.
Best wishes,
Mr. G & Miss Megan
