Dear Primary Families,

Grade 3–6 Winter Concert
On Wednesday, we enjoyed a memorable Grade 3–6 Winter Concert. It was a wonderful exhibition of students as performers and risk-takers — the culmination of many hours of hard work, rehearsal, and preparation. The event showcased just how international our school community is, with 40 nationalities and 170 student performers taking to the stage.

The concert featured a fantastic balance of musical selections from artists such as Bruno Mars, Bobby McFerrin, Lionel Richie, Wiz Khalifa, and even AC/DC and Metallica. We enjoyed students singing together, as well as demonstrating their confidence and talent on a range of instruments — including clarinets, drums, percussion, and even a trumpet soloist. It was wonderful to witness such creativity, and musical expression.

The Mazoon was full, and we very much appreciated the strong support from parents and families. A huge thank-you to Mr. Mino and to all those who supported him in preparing the students for this performance. And, of course, huge congratulations to our student performers. Over the next few days, students will be reflecting on their performances — celebrating what went well and identifying ways to build on their experiences as they grow as musicians and learners.

Looking Ahead – Sports Days
Next week will be an exciting one, with Sports Days running across three consecutive days:

  • Monday: KG1–Grade 1 (8:15 – 11:00 am)
  • Tuesday: Grade 2–Grade 6 (8:15 am – 12:20 pm)
  • Wednesday: Grade 7–Grade 12 (8:15 am – 1:00 pm)

These are always energetic and joyful community events, and we warmly invite parents to come along and cheer on their children. We are looking forward to three days filled with teamwork, enthusiasm, and fun!

Heading into the Winter Break
On Thursday, we will reach the end of Week 16 — the final day of school before the winter break. It has been a busy and rewarding start to the academic year, and we are grateful for your continued support. As we move into the holiday period, we do so with a strong sense of achievement and excitement for what lies ahead in the new term.

Wishing all families a wonderful weekend and a smooth, happy run-up to the winter break.

Best regards,
Matthew
Primary Team Lead
