🎨 Visual Art Weekly Update

Congratulations PYP students for the art exhibition, it was a great journey and now we can see what we achieved through it, I hope you are so proud of yourself and always do your best.

Our young artists had a wonderful week filled with creativity and exploration across all grade levels:

  • KG1 – Students started new unit about feelings and emotions, they started to see different portraits for Pablo Picasso and they discussed what they feel in each artwork and they paint how colors make them feel happy on paper by using watercolor.
  • KG2 – They created different patterns by using stamps and paint to create their project.
  • Grade 1 – Students designed a printing project with foam and paint to create a foam printing ideas .
  • Grade 2 – Students started to design a 3D rooms for their house like (bedroom , bathroom, living room, kitchen) by identifying their needs and wants and some of them already started to create their homes in different biomes by using recycled material.
  • Grade 3- students paint their self portrait collage with the cubism style.
  • Grade 4 –students finished with the self portrait sketch influenced by Picasso’s artwork and they started to create it through clay.
  • ‘Grade 5 – created 4 different tones for (blue, purple and yellow) to create a sky with the Impressionism style.
  • Grade 6 – most of them started to finish the zentangels art sketch and preparing for the next printing process.

It has been an inspiring week in the art room, and we are so proud of the progress each student is making.
