This week we welcomed a new member to the Secondary Student Council. He was fashioned in our new SSC t-shirt, and very smart he looked too! Unfortunately, he doesn’t have a name yet- we will be holding a ‘Guess The Name’ fundraiser soon.
We are hoping to order the new t-shirts this week so that our members can start wearing them with pride.
Also this week, they started the ‘Litter Picking Initiative’ around the school campus. We have all been a bit shocked at the amount of litter they collected in just two 20-minute slots at lunchtime. It is time for us to start a big awareness campaign!
Time is flying, and all of the MYP students have been extremely focused and engaged this week, working hard on summatives and rounding up their learning for Semester 1. Upstairs, in LC2, you have been able to hear a pin drop!!
For PYP students, some of the SHINE team have been setting up a well-being project called ‘Calm in the Farm.’ We are so lucky to have this beautiful campus and to be able to utilise the farm space. We will be working with students on calming and regulation strategies before they go back to class after lunch. We will also be offering sessions to staff…
Have a great weekend!!
Ms Jo
