Dear parents,
It was wonderful to see so many of you at our Parent Coffee Mornings this week. These occasions help strengthen the partnership between home and school.
In Primary, parents joined a Seesaw Workshop led by Ms. Megan, exploring how the platform supports learning and communication. In Secondary, parents attended a ManageBac Workshop, gaining insight into how teachers design units, assess learning, and how families can access key information. Thank you to all who attended and to our staff for leading these sessions.
Today’s Primary Assembly showcased learning from Grades 2 and 3. Grade 2 explored culture and identity, while Grade 3 presented their inquiry into body systems and healthy choices. Both groups spoke with confidence, well done! Congratulations also to Ms. Sanaa and our Grade 2 artists for their beautiful Mini Art Exhibition, reflecting creativity and pride.
In Secondary, the second House Competition of the year, an energetic relay event designed and led by Grade 10, brought wonderful teamwork and spirit. Congratulations to Blue House on their win!
Next week, our Student Councils will lead activities for Breast Cancer Awareness Month, including bake sales and a “Wear Pink” day. We are proud of their compassion and leadership and thank families for supporting this important cause.
As we mark Omani Women’s Day on 17 October, we celebrate the many Omani women at ABIS whose professionalism and care enrich our community. Thank you to all of them for their commitment and support to our staff, students and the school community.
A Safety Reminder
For the safety of all our students, please note the following:
-
Parents and children crossing the lanes must always use the pedestrian crossing.
-
Primary students may only leave the gate under the supervision of an adult.
-
No pickups are permitted in the driveway at the school entrance. Please always park and then collect your children.
These rules are being reinforced as the number of cars on campus has increased. The safety of our children is our highest priority, and your cooperation is greatly appreciated.
Have a wonderful weekend!
Dominic Robeau
