1. This Week in Our Learning

This week, students began their Invasion Games Unit — an exciting opportunity to learn how teamwork, communication, and strategy come together in fun, competitive games.

  • Grade 1 students explored simple invasion-style games that focused on moving safely in space, passing, and working together as a team. They practiced sharing space, following simple rules, and understanding how to move towards a goal while cooperating with classmates.

  • Grades 2–3 played modified invasion games, learning basic skills such as passing, defending, and finding open space. The emphasis was on communication, teamwork, and understanding the importance of fair play.

  • Grades 4–6 were introduced to Bench Ball and Handball, where they learned about attacking and defending as a team, using tactics to maintain possession, and showing respect for both teammates and opponents.

2. Student Spotlight

Our students showed great energy and enthusiasm throughout the lessons! Grade 1 students displayed curiosity and joy as they learned how to work together. Grades 2–3 impressed us with their developing teamwork and fair play, while Grades 4–6 demonstrated growing confidence in using tactics and communication. Across all year levels, students showed cooperation, perseverance, and a willingness to try new challenges.

3. Looking Ahead

In the coming weeks, students will continue to develop their game awareness, teamwork, and problem-solving skills. They will learn how to create space, support teammates, and make thoughtful decisions during play. We look forward to seeing them apply these skills both in PE and in their daily interactions—showing that teamwork, respect, and perseverance are just as important off the field as they are in the game.
