1. This Week in Our Learning:
• Today in our advisory session, we introduced the diploma year one students to the extended essay. This a first exam session for the new extended essay guide and many new and exciting opportunities have been opened to students. The IB is encouraging students to explore the connections between subjects more with the extended essay and as such an interdisciplinary route has been included.
2. Looking Ahead:
• Immediately after returning from the October break, students will submit a proposal for their extended essay subjects selection. This should be a subject, a topic, and some research that has been conducted to demonstrate motivation and direction. Further guidance has been provided to students through the extended essay guide and today’s presentation, which have both been shared via Google Classroom.
