This Week in Our Learning:

In Grade 1, students are engaging in cooperative games where they practice following instructions, taking turns, and working respectfully with peers. In Grades 2–6, the focus has been on developing the Learner Profile attributes of open-mindedness and risk-taking. Students are learning to listen to the perspectives of others, explore different strategies, and take responsible risks to support their teams in successfully completing tasks

Student Spotlight:

It has been inspiring to see how students collaborate by recognizing each other’s strengths and supporting areas for growth. Many groups have shown success by demonstrating open-mindedness, communication, and thinking skills to solve challenges together. In swimming, we are observing remarkable progress: students who were once hesitant to put their faces in the water are now showing courage and becoming true risk-takers as they explore and build their water confidence.

Looking Ahead:

Next week, we will continue to strengthen leadership, communication, and collaboration skills through our Adventure Challenges unit. Students will also focus on being active listeners, supportive teammates, and reflective problem-solvers. In swimming, we will keep building water skills and confidence, fostering students’ growth as lifelong learners who embrace new possibilities.
