This has been another busy week and all students are getting into the routines and understanding their school day more and more. They have learnt sounds: recognising, saying and forming; writing with both pencils, colour pens and on whiteboards help give them a variety and strengthen fingers. We are learning to count back from 10 and up to 20 and form our numbers correctly. We use our counting skills to complete sequences, do puzzles and play games together. We have enjoyed stories and action songs with movements to keep us active.
The biggest excitement is always the POOL! Starting swimming is a highlight and all the children were given time to learn another new routine- putting on our costume, googles and organising our things in the changing room! Our swimming instructors are very experienced and guide the children carefully through so that they feel confident and enjoy their lesson. They will quickly understand the level of skill and arrange the groups appropriately.
Kind reminder that all children must participate in this very important lesson and come prepared with everything that they need! I was very impressed how well the students changed and organised their belongings this morning.
Enjoy the longer weekend.
