1. This Week in Our Learning:
• We welcomed everyone back and introduced DP expectations, timetables, and spaces. In English, we started our first unit examining political cartoon. The students demonstrated some phenomenal background knowledge with especially poignant analysis coming from Dana, Alya, and Zainab.
2. Looking Ahead:
• We are piloting a new form of DP support for this group of students this year using small mentor groups. We will be launching this next week. The goal is to provide small, focused sessions that will allow Mr Chris and I to check in on students regularly, consistently, and fairly. As well as provide the students with a stress-free atmosphere to discuss their challenges and growth in the DP program.
