Dear ABIS Community,

This will be my final post as I prepare to bid farewell to ABIS.
My family and I will soon be moving on to a new adventure at an IB school in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Today, I had the opportunity to say goodbye to most of the students I’ve taught this year, and I feel incredibly grateful for the time we’ve shared.

Our MYP PHE students have truly extended themselves this year. They have embodied the IB Learner Profile attributes and demonstrated growth in their ability to think critically, communicate effectively, collaborate with peers, conduct meaningful inquiry, and self-manage by setting personal goals.

It’s also been a busy and rewarding year for our PE department. We hosted the second annual inter-school basketball tournament, our sports days, a swim gala, a community fun run, and two lunchtime tournaments, all providing meaningful opportunities for students to shine in a competitive yet supportive environment.

With a new PHE teacher joining the team, I’m confident that next year will be even more exciting.

Take care, everyone, and enjoy a well-deserved break!

Mr. Fernando
