Dear Parents,
This week has been another wonderful one at ABIS, full of learning, creativity, and community spirit.
On Tuesday evening, we held our Secondary Summer Music Concert. Congratulations to Mr. Camilo and all the student performers for putting on such a fantastic show. The progress they have made this year was clear to see, and their talent and enthusiasm was wonderful to see. Special thanks also to Mr. Mino for his support and to Mr. Mohamed for ensuring the sound ran smoothly. It was a memorable evening—well done to everyone involved!
On Wednesday morning, we welcomed a number of parents to school for the Secondary Open Day. After enjoying coffee and conversation, parents visited a variety of classes to observe teaching and learning in action. It was a successful and enriching morning, and we’re grateful to those who joined us—your presence means a lot to our students.
Earlier today, I had the pleasure of attending the inaugural Grade 6 TED Talks. Each student took to the stage to deliver a prepared speech on a topic of their choice. I was very impressed by their poise, confidence, and command of their subjects. These students are clearly ready to transition from the PYP into the MYP, and I hope we will see this event with parents and peers attending in the future. Well done to all involved and thank you to Mr. Matt who worked closely with the students to achieve this special event.
As we now head into the Eid break, please note that the school will be closed on the following dates in observance of Eid Al-Adha:
-
Thursday, 6 June 2025 (tomorrow)
-
Sunday, 8 June 2025
-

We extend our warmest wishes to all families celebrating this special occasion. Eid Mubarak! May this time bring joy, peace, and meaningful moments with your loved ones.
School will resume on Tuesday, 10 June 2025.
Enjoy the long weekend.
