Dear Parents,

I’m excited to share that we have successfully wrapped up our Striking and Fielding Unit in Physical Education for Grades 1–6. Over the past several weeks, students have been actively engaged in a variety of games and activities that helped them build key skills in coordination, teamwork, and movement strategies.

  • In Grades 1–2, students learned the basics of striking a ball with their hand or bat, running to a base, and working with others to field the ball. They developed fundamental motor skills, improved spatial awareness, and followed simple game rules with growing confidence.

  • In Grades 3–4, students applied more accurate striking techniques and developed their ability to anticipate, run, and make decisions during game play. They learned to communicate effectively in both offensive and defensive roles.

  • In Grades 5–6, students demonstrated a deeper understanding of tactics and gameplay. They practiced using different striking styles (such as overhand and underhand), learned effective fielding positions, and showed good sportsmanship throughout.

To celebrate the end of the unit, each class took part in mini-games and class tournaments. These culminating activities gave students a chance to demonstrate their learning, collaborate with their peers, and enjoy the excitement of friendly competition. More importantly, they reinforced valuable life skills such as teamwork, responsibility, and resilience.
