Dear Primary Families,
This week marked the beginning of our first-ever Open Classroom Sessions, and it has been wonderful to welcome a number of parents into our learning spaces. Many of you have observed lessons, and some have even joined in to support your child’s learning – thank you!
This initiative is designed to give you a closer look at what teaching and learning looks like at ABIS. As this is the first time we’ve offered these sessions, it’s been lovely to see the excitement from our students. In many cases, they’ve been absolutely delighted to have mum or dad in the classroom with them!
We look forward to continuing the sessions next week and will be seeking your feedback afterwards. We’d love to know whether you found the experience valuable and if you have any suggestions for future improvements. One topic that has already come up is timing – we may consider scheduling these earlier in the first semester next academic year.
Summer Book Fair
Following the success of our earlier Book Fair with DC Books, we are excited to announce a Summer Book Fair, which will run from May 26th to May 29th. English and Arabic language books will be available, and we hope this will be a great chance to stock up on reading material for the summer break. More details to follow soon!
Wishing you a wonderful weekend ahead.
Best regards,
Matthew
Primary Team Lead
