Dear parents,
It has been a pleasure to welcome so many of you into our classrooms this week for our first-ever Open Classroom Sessions. The aim has been to provide you with a closer look at teaching and learning at ABIS. It has been wonderful to see the pleasure of students as they shared their learning environments with you. Your presence, questions, and engagement have added so much to the spirit of the week—thank you.
Primary sessions continue next week, and we will be seeking your feedback shortly. For our Secondary families, I’m pleased to confirm that Secondary Open Classrooms will take place on Wednesday 4th June from 8:00–10:00 a.m. Parents are invited to meet in the LC3 Café at 8:00 a.m., where Mr. Andrew Cooper and myself will be available for coffee and conversation. You will then have the opportunity to visit a variety of lessons across Grades 7 to 9. A detailed schedule will be shared with you via email.
This is an especially valuable opportunity for Grade 6 parents, as you begin to explore what the transition from PYP to MYP looks like in practice.
Looking ahead, we are pleased to announce the Summer Book Fair, which will run from May 26th to 29th. English and Arabic books will be available, providing a great opportunity to stock up on reading material for the summer holidays.
Thank you, as always, for your continued partnership. We look forward to seeing many of you in school again soon.
Enjoy your weekend!
Dominic Robeau
