Dear parents,
This week at ABIS has been full of meaningful milestones and joyful experiences that remind us why our community is so special.
Today, we bid farewell to our Grade 12 students with a moving assembly and a whole-school send-off. For many, their journey at ABIS began in Kindergarten, and the others a few years later meaning they have been with ABIS for many years. This made the moment especially poignant and watching them walk through the school one final time was a proud and emotional experience for all of us. They leave us as confident, compassionate, and principled young adults—living examples of the values and aspirations that define our school community. We look forward with great optimism to the bright futures that lie ahead for each of them.
Earlier this week, our Grade 9 and 10 students returned from their four-day trip to Muscat and Nizwa. The journey combined cultural discovery with outdoor adventure, helping students grow in independence, resilience, and their understanding of Oman’s rich heritage. We are grateful to the staff who guided them so thoughtfully throughout the experience.
Today, Progress Reports were shared with all families. These provide valuable insight into each child’s growth and learning so far this year. I encourage you to read them together and reach out to your child’s teacher or advisor with any questions.
Next week, we look forward to welcoming you on campus for Student-Led Conferences and Parent Teacher Conferences, please make sure you book a time with your child’s teacher/s.
In Primary, Book Week will add even more excitement, with creative activities including bookmark-making, book swaps, reading buddies, and Character Day.
Thank you, as always, for your ongoing support. Together, we continue to build a learning environment where every student can thrive.
Enjoy your weekend!
Dominic Robeau
