Dear ABIS Community,
In Physical and Health Education (PHE), students have been engaging in net games, starting with Volleyball, where they explored fundamental skills, strategies, and movement concepts. Over the next four weeks, they will also explore Badminton, Pickleball, and Indoor Tennis—sports chosen for their smaller team requirements, allowing for more focused skill development.
As you are aware, our fasting students will not be participating in physical activities for the next 3-4 weeks. However, to keep them engaged, they will have the opportunity to take on the role of a coach, working one-on-one with a player. In this role, they will observe, provide technical feedback, and suggest offensive and defensive strategies to help improve their partner’s performance.
While fasting students are permitted to engage in low-intensity physical activity, a decision was made to excuse them from PHE to prioritize their safety and well-being. This approach ensures that all students remain involved in the learning process, whether actively playing or supporting their peers in a coaching capacity.
