This Week in Our Classroom:

Grade 8 students are mastering the elimination method for solving simultaneous linear equations, learning to align and eliminate variables to find precise solutions. Grade 9 is exploring the circumference and area of circles, along with calculating arc lengths and sector areas, linking geometry to real-world applications. Meanwhile, Grade 10 is diving into box-and-whisker plots and probability tree diagrams, using these tools to analyze data and make predictions. For Grade 12, this week marks the submission of their first drafts for the Mathematics: Applications and Interpretation Internal Assessment, a significant milestone in their IB journey.

Looking Ahead: As we head into a well-deserved one-week break, we wish all students a restful and enjoyable time. Grade 8 will explore word problems involving simultaneous equations after the break. Grade 9 will tackle more complex problems involving circles. Grade 10 will advance to multi-step probability scenarios. Grade 12 students will receive feedback to refine their Internal Assessment drafts further. Have a wonderful break, everyone!
