Dear ABIS Community,
This week, our students embarked on new activities to expand their knowledge and understanding of physical and health education. Grade 8 students are exploring personal growth through invasion games, focusing on indoor field hockey. For many, this version of the game is unfamiliar, requiring them to learn new skills and techniques. One fundamental rule they are adapting to is using only one side of the hockey stick to control the ball.
As they progress, students are discovering that skill development requires patience, perseverance, and a growth mindset. Through drills and gameplay, they are refining their coordination, spatial awareness, and teamwork while overcoming initial challenges. Regular practice and constructive feedback are helping them build confidence and adaptability.
By engaging in this learning experience, students not only enhance their physical abilities but also develop resilience and problem-solving skills, which are essential in both sports and everyday life.
