We are excited to invite you to our Primary Swimming Gala on Thursday, February 27! This special event celebrates the hard work and progress of our students in their swimming classes.
The gala marks the end of their swimming unit, giving them a chance to showcase what they’ve learned in a fun and supportive environment. All students are required to participate, and they will swim based on their skill levels to ensure a fair and enjoyable experience.
Event Schedule:
🔹 First Session (8:20 AM – 9:00 AM) – Grade 4-6 Girls
Only female audiences are allowed due to cultural and religious considerations.
🔹 Second Session (9:00 AM – 11:00 AM) – Selected students in K1-Grade 4 Boys & Girls, and Grade 5-6 Boys Only
Both male and female audiences are welcome.
🔹 Third Session (11:00 AM – 11:30 AM) – Game Relays
Events: Freestyle Relay / Table Tennis Ball Blowing / T-Shirt Relay
Participants: Grade 1-4 representatives & Grade 5-6 Boys Only
Swimming Levels:
K1-Grade 1:
🏊♂️ Level 1 – 25m Freestyle & Backstroke in the big pool
🏊 Level 2 – 25m with kickboards and noodles in the big pool
🏊♀️ Level 3 – Small pool with kickboards
Grades 4-6:
🏊♂️ Level 1 – 50m or 25m Backstroke & Freestyle
🏊 Level 2 – 25m with kickboards
This event is not a competition but a celebration of each child’s effort and improvement. We have reminded students throughout the unit that the focus is on learning and participation, not winning.
Important Reminders:
✅ Please send your child to school wearing their swimming attire to avoid congestion in the changing rooms.
✅ Ensure they bring a towel to stay warm while waiting for their turn.
✅ Parents are kindly asked not to enter the changing rooms.
