Dear ABIS Families,
I’m thrilled to share that the PE department is kicking off a BenchBall House Teams competition for Grades 3-6 right after the October break! This event is just the beginning, as we plan to host a series of monthly sports competitions while the weather stays cooler. It’s a fantastic opportunity for students to get active and enjoy some friendly competition!
Competition Details
The BenchBall matches will take place during lunchtime in the Sports Hall, following the schedule below:
- Elimination Rounds: November 11-13
- Final Rounds: November 17-20
Game Schedule:
- Nov 11, 2024 – Grade 6
- Nov 12, 2024 – Grade 5
- Nov 17, 2024 – Grade 6
- Nov 18, 2024 – Grade 5
- Nov 19, 2024 – Grade 4
- Nov 20, 2024 – Grade 3
Please make sure your child comes dressed in their House Team colors on their competition days!
Awards and Recognition
We want to celebrate effort and participation, so we’ll be giving out special awards after each event. These awards are not only for the top performers but also to acknowledge great team spirit, sportsmanship, and collaboration:
Primary House Teams Competition Awards
- House Champion
Awarded to the team with the highest score or the final round winner. - Best Team Spirit
Recognizing the team that showed the most enthusiasm, sportsmanship, and support for each other. - Fair Play Award
Given to the team that demonstrated fairness, respect, and adherence to the rules. - Best Teamwork
Awarded to the team that displayed outstanding collaboration, communication, and teamwork.
