Dear ABIS Community

Critical thinking, creativity, collaboration and effective communication skills are essential for success in the 21st-century workplace. In Physical and Health Education (PHE), we foster these skills by creating opportunities for students to engage in inter-class activities. Students who work across grade levels can collaborate with peers from different classes.

On Thursdays, students in grades 9 and 10 have PHE lessons at the same time, creating an ideal setting to develop these skills. During these sessions, students can choose a team-based activity. However, teams must be mixed in terms of ability and gender. Since these teams consist of students from different grade levels, they must utilise their communication, collaboration, and critical thinking skills to work effectively as a team.

We also aim to develop the International Baccalaureate (IB) profile attributes, such as being thinkers, open-minded, caring, and effective communicators.
