Dear ABIS Families
Firstly, I would like to express my sincere sympathy to those who have been affected by the recent floods, and I hope that things will improve soon.
This week, our students transitioned to online learning, which isn’t the preferred method for PHE. However, it allowed them to reflect on their understanding of the subject. They have recently started playing volleyball, and most of them are beginners in this sport. As part of their learning assignment, the students had to identify and describe the interpersonal skills they demonstrated as a volleyball player or sportsperson. They then had to evaluate their current performance in volleyball against a skills rubric.
We always encourage our students to have a growth mindset to overcome challenges – with sustained focus and regular practice, anyone can learn new or complex skills.
