Thank you to all who supported your students at the three-way conferences. It was wonderful seeing you again, as well as witnessing students celebrate their learning with you. While we were busy prepping for your visit, we were able to squeeze in other activities. Here is the link for the week’s pictures.
What We Did in Week 11
- As you know, students took some time to goal set. While some were busy with that, others were learning about verbs and verb tenses. We learned some verbs do not follow the rules.
- We also took a quick peek into our next unit by putting science sentences together and having a book cafe. We also created our cover page for the unit including the theme and central idea.
- In math for problem-solving, we used a simple example to learn the strategy of drawing pictures and modeling. Students also used the model of a number line to learn the strategy of open jumping when faced with an addition problem.
