Dear Primary Families,
As we reach the end of this week, our 9th week in school, it is a wonderful opportunity to reflect upon the year so far. It has certainly been a busy few weeks and I have enjoyed seeing the students settle and become familiar with their new classes and teachers. I have seen friendships grow and new students – and teachers – be welcomed into our school community. It has been a positive start to the year and I am excited about what lies ahead!
Progress Reports
Progress Reports have now been issued. Reading your child’s progress report together can be incredibly beneficial. It’s a chance to celebrate their achievements and address any challenges. By doing this together, you can show your child that you care about their education and want to help. It’s an opportunity to set goals and make plans for improvement. Plus, it fosters open communication, making your child feel more comfortable discussing school experiences. You can offer guidance, praise their efforts, and provide extra support where needed. This joint effort strengthens the parent-child bond and ensures your child’s success.
House Team Assembly (11:30 am – 12:00 pm) / Family House Team Picnic (12:00 pm – 1:00 pm, Thursday, 2nd November)
Last year, we held a ‘House Team Picnic’ for students, and this event proved to be popular with students. This year, we have expanded it to include families and, for primary students, a ‘House Team Assembly.’
Further details will be shared via a Newsflash after the holiday. However, please make sure to mark the time and date in your diary. It would be wonderful to see as many parents as possible joining us on that day. We understand that some parents may have prior commitments that make attendance impossible.
