The DP Global Politics class is currently studying a unit on Human Rights. We have explored the concept of inalienable rights and have evaluated various declarations of Human Rights including those established by the United Nations. The key concepts for this unit include justice, liberty, and equality. This week students were introduced to John Rawls’ theory of justice and engaged in fruitful discussion around his ideas of the “original position” and how society would be structured from behind the “veil of ignorance.”
