Dear Primary Families,
I hope you found the time to read your child’s Term 3 Progress Report and talk about accomplishments and goals together. When we return after the Eid break it will be our final push for learning and achievement, and we will work hard to ensure that students have the right environment and support to do their very best. Your ongoing work from home is always appreciated, and teamwork is the best way towards success. Please contact me or your child’s teachers if you would like more information about how to support learning from home.
ABIS staff and students will enjoy a wonderful Eid Holiday, with school closed to students from tomorrow, Thursday, April 20 through to Saturday, April 29, inclusive. Staff will be participating in personal professional development during our CPD days (April 25-27), and we will welcome everyone back to campus on Sunday, April 30. Some dates to keep in mind that week are:
- Primary Parent Coffee Morning: Hosted by our Student Support Team: Topic: Social Emotional Learning: Wednesday, May 2 from 8-9am in the LC1 Library Classroom. We look forward to seeing many of you there.
- Primary Assembly: Grades 5 & 6 will host our assembly on Thursday, May 4 from 12:20 – 1pm in the Mazoon. Please join us.
- After School Activities begin on Sunday, April 30. You have already received sign up information via email.
- Indoor lunch activities will begin on Sunday, April 30. Students will have some choice and voice about where they spend their indoor play times. Thank you to the Grade 5 & 6 student volunteers who will be taking on a Playground Leader role, taking turns each day to help younger students self manage and make good choices. It’s great to have so many students keen to take part in such a positive way.
- Grade 6 Exhibition is quickly approaching: May 10 & 11. Look for more information and a community invitation after the break.
Wishing you all a safe, happy holiday. Celebrate well with your families, and enjoy the break. Maeve
