Dear Primary Families,
Our Primary students were very excited yesterday as they came to school dressed in their special traditional outfits, preparing for the Omani tradition of Qaranqasho. This is a chance to be rewarded with sweets and candy half way through Ramadan, and students certainly had many treats shared with all their classmates.
Tonight we will celebrate Iftar together as a community. I look forward to seeing many families in the Mazoon to break the fast and enjoy our potluck meal together. Remember to bring a dish to share.
We are starting to receive applications for the upcoming academic year. If you have friends with children who might be interested in joining the ABIS community, please let them know that they are welcome to contact me and/or any of our staff with any questions they may have about learning at our school. We will share more information soon about our upcoming “Open Day” on May 4.
As always, wishing you an enjoyable weekend with your family. Happy Easter to those who celebrate. Maeve
