Dear parents,
This week the grades 3-6 students put on a tremendous musical, delighting the school and parents. They sang, danced, and acted out a wonderful story centering on the environment. We congratulate all students and especially Mr. Peter for this wonderful show. Thanks also to all the staff who supported this musical and gave many hours of their time to the students.
Tuesday and Wednesday saw the school fill with parents who came to take part in the student-led conferences. Thank you to everyone for attending and showing such strong interest in your child’s work. The students really enjoyed demonstrating their learning!
On Wednesday ABIS students competed in a swim relay meet hosted by The American International School of Muscat. Our students did extremely well, and we won in the top 4 in a number of events. Our best performance was in the boys’ 14 and over breaststroke relay, where our relay team won first place. Congratulations to all our swimmers who competed against BSM, ABA and TAISM, and did so well.
Next week the Diploma students will be showcasing their talents in Art and Music and we look forward to seeing and hearing their work.
Ramadan starts next Thursday. We will hold a school assembly for all students on Wednesday to explain how they should behave, the rules to follow, and the importance of Ramadan in Oman. The Ramadan timetable starts the following Sunday 26 March as the Thursday timetable is unaffected.
The weather is starting to warm up so please ensure that your child brings a hat to school to wear outside.
Have a restful and enjoyable weekend!
