Dear parents,
This week we advertised the first summer English language summer course to be held at ABIS. It will run from July 23 to August 10. Classes are for students between grades 4 and 9. Highly experienced teachers are being recruited for this course and will present a fun-filled learning experience for the students. Should you be interested, please fill out this registration form.
This afternoon I attended the grade 1&2 assembly and it was good to see so many parents attending. The students were wonderful and showed great talent in their presentations!
Last week was Oman week and all had a wonderful time. The winners of the Storytelling Library House competition were announced today, congratulations to the students who put their best efforts forward and won their division.
This week was Spirit week organised by the School Student Council. We enjoyed greeting students in the morning at the front gate who arrived in various costumes including national dress during the week. Today was the last day with students coming to school in their nightwear and carrying belonging in anything but their school bags. I was impressed by the ingenuity of students who brought their items to school in everything from a laundry basket to a popcorn tub! Well done to everyone who participated in this week.
Congratulations to all the students who participated in the sports competition against other schools recently. The basketball, football and volleyball games were excellent, and our students demonstrated very good skills in their games.
Next week we are on holiday for a week and school resumes on Sunday, March 5.
Have a good break!
