Dear parents and students,
Tomorrow morning as a school we will gather to say goodbye to leaving staff and students. Some teachers are returning home while others are moving to new countries: Carolina Uceda to Brazil, Mike Clark to the UK, Lucy Wray to the USA, Kirsty Lottkowitz to Egypt, Rob Munn and Margot Simonds to Angola, Andres Bradshaw and Deb Bradshaw to South Africa, Maureen Baier to Cambodia, and Ms Khadija (G6), Ms Asila (KG2) and Ms Maryam (G3) will also be leaving us.
A special mention for leaving staff members. Jon Adams, our Secondary Team Leader, has been at ABIS for 8 years and has served the school faithfully and with extraordinary dedication. He is returning home to the USA, and we will miss him and his family. Thank you, Jon, for all that you have done for the school and students, you will be missed. Kirsty Lottkowitz gave 5 wonderful years of service to ABIS; we thank her for her hard work and for inspiring her students to achieve.
We wish all of our departing staff the very best. We are grateful for your contributions to the school and your commitment to the success of our students. Wherever you may go, know that you have left ABIS all the better for your time here. Thank you.
To the students who are leaving ABIS this year, to move countries, cities, and schools: I hope that you leave with good memories, and always remember the ABIS learning pact: Challenge Yourself, Involve Yourself, Be Your Best. Good luck in your new school!
At this time not only do we bid people farewell, but we also welcome the new teachers joining us in August. We are pleased to have found talented and experienced IB teachers to join the ABIS community next year. These are the new teacher’s profiles: here. They are all looking forward to coming to Oman!
All the best,
Dominic Robeau
