Dear Primary Families,
First and foremost, a huge thank you to all parents and supporting family members for helping the students get off to a successful start in online learning. As with any transition, there are bumps in the road, but overall we have been very happy with the attendance and engagement of the students. This is largely due to the fact that many of us are familiar with the routines and platforms, but also due to the fantastic support from home. Well done everyone.
Please continue to read the weekly communications from your child’s teachers so that you are aware of the schedules and routines. Most of you have already set up learning areas at home so that your child can easily access materials, remain organized and be able to focus on the schoolwork. Our teachers are continuously monitoring and making adjustments according to the age and progress of the students. We are all aware of the need for regular brain and movement breaks and learning tasks that take students away from the screen as much as possible.
Teachers are busy writing report comments this week and next. You can expect your child’s Semester 1 Report Card via email next Thursday, Jan. 27. This is a comprehensive report about how your child is achieving in every subject. Please read it carefully with your child, celebrating successes and making note of areas for improvement over the 2nd half of our school year.

Please continue to take care of your family’s health by maintaining social distancing and wearing masks when out and about. The numbers in Oman continue to rise. We all have our fingers crossed that the online learning for Primary will not last longer than one month.
