Happy 51st National Oman Day! It was great fun celebrating National Day today. Being able to gather and raise the flag was a hint of normalcy and movement towards progress. While today we celebrated Oman and all its beauty and growth, this week we continued celebrating student academic growth and understanding. One of the highlights was our “walk-about”. Artifacts were set out on a table and the students were first asked to only walk and observe. The second time around we asked questions, made observations and hypothesized what was being represented and happening. While there were some misconceptions, which is wonderful to note, we can now move forward to the next line of inquiry for the unit. In the coming weeks, we will be focusing on chemical reactions and changes- science, math, writing, and art will all be involved! Enjoy your weekend!
