This week we conducted an experiment to see if we can get water from sand. The students were very excited as they helped prepare the experiment.
The students helped to collect green leaves an rocks for our experiment. We dug 2 deep holes. We placed the leaves and the cup inside the hole and covered it with plastic.
We made signs to inform others of our experiment. There were lots of interesting signs, even warnings
After 2 days, we opened up the hole and found water!!
After our experiment the student reflected on what happened and wrote about what they’ve learned.
Thank you to all those who sent in signs from home. We have quite a nice selection of signs that we use in the class. We identify beginning sounds and end sounds, the students copy the signs and read it.
