Dear Primary Families;
Thank you for your patience and support as we all returned to a safe in person learning environment. Students have needed some ongoing reminders about following our health and safety protocols, but they arrive each morning with masks and sanitizer, ready to learn and play. Reminding and talking to your child at home about social distancing and handwashing will help them remember the importance of keeping everyone in our community safe. The youngest learners have become very responsible and independent, especially during morning drop off as they manage their own belongings and follow the entrance routines. Well done to everyone!
Teachers have been busy this week completing assessments and writing Semester One report cards. These will be finalized over the coming week, and will be shared with you next Thursday, Feb. 4. These reports are a comprehensive review of your child’s achievement and effort at school to date in all subject areas. You will be notified about how to access these reports next week.
We hope you enjoyed the Science Fair website that was shared with you last week, which is still available on the ABIS website. Be sure to take the time to look at your child’s project and let him or her know what you enjoyed and what you learned from it.
Oman Week is coming soon! Teachers of all grades and subjects have been planning some exciting, hands-on activities for the students that will bring this beautiful country to the forefront of learning for the week. Details will go home in the usual Sunday communications from classroom teachers, but the best way to know what is happening is to ask your child about the fun that is being planned in their classes!
Be sure to get outside and enjoy the beautiful weather over the weekend! I understand it will begin to get very hot, very soon!
