Dear parents,
We welcome back all our students after the winter break followed by two weeks online learning. I hope you all had a wonderful holiday over the winter break. Everyone is excited to see the students returning to school!
Next week marks the return of our KG classes and we are looking forward to seeing these students back at school. For some in KG, this will their first time attending school and we are very mindful of this. Teachers will be there for student’s arrival (and departure) to reassure and assist where needed. The KG classes filled up fast and at this stage KG3 has one seat left, and KG1-2 has 2 seats left. If you are considering placing your child in KG 1-3, please do contact the school administration very soon.
This week also marks the first time that all students, except for those still in quarantine, are returning to school. Classes will resume as normal and teachers are looking forward to having all students in class. As we now are all back at school, please note that if your child is sick and stays home, we will treat this as a normal day off school and lessons will not be provided.
The school calendar for the rest of the year requires some slight adjustments due to the late start of the school year and we will be issuing this via a newsflash next week.
The school has been refreshed over the past few weeks with a new look to the farm, new flooring in ECC and the student kitchen is almost finished. Our gardens, lawns and play areas look fresh and wonderful, reminding everyone who comes on campus just how beautiful it is. We are lucky to be working and studying here.
The Nautilus swimming club has reopened this week and they will be running sessions after school at 4.30 pm most days. Students can stay on campus after school until their lessons begin. We do encourage students to sign up for Nautilus as it is good exercise. Note that as a school we are not yet able to offer swimming, yet a club may utilize the pool for their purposes.
See everyone next week.
