Grade 3 students continue to be respectful of social distancing when they are working at their desks, lining up and playing in the designated area. They wash their hands regularly during the day and use the hand sanitizer provided.

Our Grade 3 class. The students made a massive effort to celebrate Oman’s 50th birthday. The national costumes were wonderful.

We have now completed the UOI on Natural Resources with a focus on water. This week we learnt about the ancient Falaj System and how it is used to provide water for daily use and agriculture.

An example of the Falaj System taken in Fazah.

The system uses gravity rather than a pump to direct the water. The students made the connection between the Falaj System using gravity and the ABIS sewage treatment using gravity also.

Students enjoy their breaks together, eating, chatting and playing. They are always respectful of others during their breaks.

The boys enjoy break together.
Breaktime is enjoyed by everyone.

During music this week the grade 3 students enjoyed playing the recorders where they played the notes B, E and A. The ukulele was also introduced to some of the class. Mr Mike will teach the students how to hold, strum and play.
