Dear parents,

I am delighted to announce that we have been given approval by the Ministry of Education for the school to reopen. The MOE also complimented the school on its preparation, saying it was the best they had seen so far.

Due to this approval:

  •       Grades 9-11 will begin school on Wednesday, November 4
  •       Grades 1-8 will begin on Sunday, November 8
  •       KG3 online (9 am – 12 pm) will begin on Sunday, November 8

Arrival times:

  •       Grades 1-6 please arrive at school between 8.20 – 8.40 am.
  •       Grades 7-12 please arrive at school between 8.00 – 8.20 am.

Finish times:

  •       Grades 1-2 will finish school at 12.40 pm. Buses will leave at 12.50 pm.
  •       Grades 3-6 will finish school at 3.00 pm. Buses will leave at 3.30 pm.
  •       Grades 7-12 will finish school at 3.20 pm. Buses will leave at 3.30 pm.

Our planning and preparation are of a high standard and we will share a video and photographs of our preparedness this Thursday. Protocols for temperature checks, sanitizers, physical distancing and regular cleaning are all in place.

A return to school form will be sent to all parents tomorrow. Parents are required to sign this form and return it to ABIS before your child comes to school.

For those parents who registered  their child to remain at home for online learning, a letter of commitment will be sent to you for signature and return to ABIS. If your child is returning to school, this letter does not need to be signed; please sign the return to school form. Online learning will continue as normal for students at home.

The bus service begins on Sunday November 8. A registration form will be sent home should you wish to book your child a seat. Due to an allowed occupancy of 50%, spaces are limited and will be allocated on a first come first served basis.

Please note entry and exit points into the parent parking lot have been changed and a map will be sent on Tuesday. Signs will be posted for entry and exit.

We are really looking forward to welcoming students back to school!

Kind regards,

Dominic Robeau
