Hard to believe we have been following our online learning programme for four weeks! Most of our students are doing a great job of taking responsibility for their own learning, managing their time and communicating effectively with their teachers. Thank you to those of you are actively supporting your children by taking the time to sit and discuss their learning and helping them to use the technology appropriately. I am sure we are all learning new IT skills at this time!
I hope you have had the opportunity to check the Grade 6 Exhibition – our students, guided by Ms Cooper and their mentors have done a fabulous job to continue to work on their research and presentations during these unusual times. Mr Atul was also instrumental in building the Exhibition website and there are thanks all round including to the grade 6 parents who I am sure jollied their children along at home. Please check Wednesday’s newsflash for the link to the website and check it out if you haven’t done so already.
You will also be aware that all schools in Oman will remain closed until further notice. We will continue to offer our online learning and supporting your children in every way that we can. If you are having difficulties with technology or the amount of learning for your child please do contact the appropriate teacher to look for a solution together.
If you are looking for something to read or listen to I have read the follow up to Baa Baa Smart Sheep and posted on your child’s See Saw under activities. I hope you enjoy and, if you are celebrating Easter then I wish you a very happy Easter and a break from technology over the next few days. This will be the second time I have attempted to make my own hot cross buns so I am hoping they are an improvement on the last lot! Happy Easter and see you next week online.
