⅞ language acquisition class had fun this week as they planned their quests on wall sized story boards. We followed this by watching a documentary and learning about the real life quest hero – Shackleton.
Grade 9 is continuing with their study of Duffy’s poetry. This week, we looked at “A Child’s Sleep” and “Head of English” and created outlines that will help them for exam revision next year.
Grade 11s are exploring the popular culture in media and its role in spreading ideologies, persuading and entertaining people. We flipped the classroom where they become my teachers since it’s only natural that they know more about pop culture than me, and they enjoyed teaching me all about memes and their influence. Additionally, they were also busy preparing for the FOA next week.
